Colin J. Maclock

Fine Artist, Art Restorer, and Illustrator, Colin MacLock has graduated from Notre Dame University of Nelson with a Bach. of Fine Art and a 3rd year Diploma from the Kootenay School of Art. Having completed a series local historical ships, and restoring some actual builders models of these, he has had reasonable enjoyment out of the ability to diversify. Colin works on a macro and micro scale.

In Murals, one of Colin’s fairly recent creations is a large realistic 1938 street scene of a postal worker and his vehicle, on the wall of the Glanford Postal Station in Saanich, a municipality north of Victoria.

Short listed from over 50 North American submissions, for his WW1 Commemorative Chemainus mural proposal maquette of Mural No. 34, "The Post Office", Colin went on to create proposals for No. 36 "Charlie the Hermit" and Mural No. 37 "Hong Hing".

Colin has recently created some cover art for a Canadian 1837 adventure novel called Vital Secrets and some cover art for a Canadian Western novel by a British Columbia writer.
